Hello people! It's one week after our annual concert already. Yesterday was our "qing gong yan". Hope everyone enjoyed the dinner prepared by the teachers.
Regarding the concert, I'm really glad that it went quite smoothly for every item. Not to forget, there's a long list of people who made this concert possible.
1st- the teachers in charge for opening the co room for us every practice and staying with us until the practices end.
Ms Wong for helping the publishing committee to edit the booklet content last minute and contacting the supplier for printing.
Mdm Hue for worrying for our 三餐, making sure that no one goes hungry.
Mr Wang for collecting the food for us during practices and rehearsals.
Most importantly, Mr Low, for attending our practices on Saturdays and scarificing time to edit the scores for the arrangers, despite having tight schedules. Really grateful for giving us some advices and frank statements. I know he meant well for us, but we just didnt make an effort to change as a whole co, which somehow disappoints him such as preparing the songlist to be practiced and also, treating every practice seriously.
3rd, the seniors, j3s. The first person to thank is definitely Jordan. Thank you for being there during the rehearsals and actual concert, helping us with the adjustment of microphones and giving us comments and encouragements regarding the rehearsals. Thanks for spending your valuable weekend with saco though weekends are the only time that u can book out and also, helping us to record our songs and upload them on the net.
I think most of you didnt realise, the ticket is actually designed by vincent, our previous president. Really thank him for spending his time, helping us in the designing of tickets.
Yijia and sophie also played an important role in helping out in the backstage and the flow of the items in e concert.
Also, thank you to all seniors who came down specially during our practices and also seniors who were there during the concert. Your presence really meant a lot to us.
Not to forget, thank you all audience for supporting our concert. We achieved a full house!
Last but not least, thank you all saco members for putting in your best for the concert. Co practices may be very hectic - 4 times a week. But im really glad that most of you turned up for the practices and practised really hard.
Without all of you, this concert would not have been possible!
As for the quality of concert, I think we could have done better. There were still some songs that we are not so familiar with and pitching problem. Yup, for more feedbacks, visit this website

Hope everyone will read the comments and try to make changes and put up a better concert next year!

Hi people! I'm jordan from the 06/07 batch. I am the guy in black glasses running up and down in the cc during your practice looking busy. Well to cut the intro short, just let me say how impressed i am about how far the orchestra has gone. Arrangement of songs is not an easy thing, as i recalled how sometimes when i came up with not so perfect scores, there was so much hassle and fear right before the concert, last minute changes here and there, and of course not so encouraging moments. But here we have now, a concert with a playlist full of arranged music! I never thought this was possible, much less coming from the batch directly after my year of graduation. I must say a good job to all arrangers for this years concert who put in so much hard work to perfect the pieces, converting them to jianpu, and applying the feedback from your peers. Not to mention the performers themselves for giving support to them by practicing dilligently and bringing their pieces to life! The happiness you feel when mere ink on paper transforms into beautiful music to the ears cannot be described, but can be felt strongly, especially to the arrangers.
So i'm here now with an upload of the recording of your session today to let you guys hear what mistakes you have made, how the arrangements can be further improved if neccessary, how to hone your part, and last but not least, give you guys a peek at what you can expect from the quality of the sound recording of the concert. Its crystal clear isn't it? So keep this as a motivation to practice and make the best out of the concert, and hopefully i can make a cd that is good enough to sell! Big dreams eh. Anyway my general comments for the session today: Just improve pitching and tempo and you guys would do great!
With love, Jordan.
